CIG inspection statement
A CIG Inspection Statement can be issued only on the basis of factory inspections conducted by CIG Member Bodies, documented in the related inspection report (OD CIG 423) and if no major or critical findings are open.
The CIG Inspection Statement shall be issued by CIG Member Bodies only and is only valid in conjunction with the related CIG Inspection Report.
The service for providing a CIG Inspection Statement is optional and it’s the CIG Member Bodies decision whether to provide this service.
The CIG Inspection Statement granted is valid for one single factory and related to the indicated product categories and products. The CIG Inspection Statement has a validity of 12 months starting from the date of inspection. The follow-up inspection for continuing the validity of the CIG Inspection Statement can be performed within 3 months after the expiry date.
Note: If a requested CIG Member Body is conducting a factory inspection on behalf of other requesting CIG Member Body(ies) each of the requesting CIG Member Body(ies) is entitled to issue a CIG Inspection Statement for this inspection performed.”
