CIG scheme: A global network

Efficient processes and consistent reporting.

The CIG Scheme is a global network composed of Members and Affiliated Member Bodies operating under a harmonized inspection framework.

The scope of the CIG inspection scheme extends worldwide. Today, CIG members are directly present in 21 countries, and their network of qualified inspectors covers all major industrial regions across the globe.

Wherever a manufacturer requires an inspection, a qualified CIG inspector can be appointed. Currently, approximately 800 inspectors are authorized to perform inspections under the CIG Scheme.

A key strength of the CIG Scheme is the harmonization of inspector qualifications among its members. All inspectors conduct factory inspections strictly in accordance with standardized international procedures, ensuring consistent audit practices across different manufacturers and regions.

This guarantees fair inspections and comparable audit results for manufacturers worldwide.

The CIG Scheme is continuously updated to remain aligned with evolving certification requirements.
